Out with academia, and in to the rural heart of East India! Join us this Sunday at Red House as we dive into the world of Jamini Roy. With an introduction to his life, work, and technique, experience the bold lines and earthy vibrancy of his iconic style. Using tempera (you’ll learn the subtleties of this ancient medium), you’ll paint on postcards and pots, and get your hands dirty sculpting with clay — all while immersing yourself in the rhythm of Bankura folk music.
