Mumbai Star is a dazzling musical dance drama about a young boy’s journey into the most glamorous promises of Mumbai as well as its grimmest realities.

Sweet, innocent Dev departs from his idyllic coastal hometown with stars in his eyes and an unstoppable rhythm in his feet. He’s set his sights on winning Mumbai Star, a high-stakes reality dance show that could launch him into stardom. He’s got big moves, bigger ambition, and absolutely no plan B.

But first, he has to survive Mumbai. It’s magical. It’s brutal. It’s altogether too much. 

Dev must navigate the harshness and tenderness of the city, a love story that may just be out of his reach, a mentor who may be his only anchor, and an anonymous well-wisher who saves him more than once from sinking in the shadows.

Will Dev be defeated by Mumbai, or become its star? Will he win the fame, fortune and love that he seeks? And if he does, will his soul survive the success? 

Set to a powerful multi-genre original soundtrack, electrifying choreography and spectacular staging, Mumbai Star is a celebration of ambition, desire, heartbreak, and the cost of chasing glory. This musical is an ode to every dreamer who dares to rise in the big city, and shows us the dizzying spectacle that the journey towards the spotlight can be.
