Aipan art is a traditionally practised folk art. It originated in the Kumaon region of The Himalayas. This art was done on brick-red walls of the houses in the region with a paste made from rice flour. It's believed that this painting has divine specialities and brings prosperity and positive vibes as well as driving away from the evil powers. It’s done on auspicious occasions like Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali and many more.
