The Program is dedicated to the Legendary Rabindra-Sangeet exponent of yesteryears- Shri Debabrata Biswas whose voice and style of presentation has mesmerized generations of music lovers. We are extremely fortunate to have with us on this August occasion, Shri Arun Gangopadhyay one of his most distinguished disciple and an eminent singer on his own right not only to present the immortal Tagore songs in Shri Debabrata’s style, but also share his valuable experiences that has been accrued through his association with the Maestro. This would turn out to be an unique opportunity for the audience to soak themselves into that special genre of Rabindra-Sangeet, which has remained specifically identifiable with Shri Debabrata Biswas’s vocal magic in the hearts of millions of his followers.

The above segment of our program will be preceded by song offerings to the Legend by acclaimed singers of Mumbai , Smt. Unmana Datta and Shri Shurjo Bhattacharya. Narrations during the above presentation will be conducted by noted cultural connoisseurs from Pune: Smt Sharmila and Shri Amit Mazumdar.The evenings' cadence will be held by the most accomplished Instrumentalists on Esraaj: Shri Anjan Basu ; Harmonium: Shri Surojit Chakraborty; Tabla : Shri Kaushik Basu; Keyboard: Shri Manas Mukesh Chowdhury; Percussions : Shri Gopal Mullick.
