Amarar Kalki’s Magnum Opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ was based on the struggle in Chola Dynasty that existed in the year one thousand (1000).

The novel was published in Kalki, a Tamil Weekly, week after week from 1950 to 1955 and it has captivated the minds of thousands of people. The Ponniyin selvan which consists of five volumes is the highest sold novel in the book exhibition.

A young theatre team has come forward to recreate the novel as a stage play to capture the minds of drama lovers and the lovers of this novel.
