Salt & Sugar: A ‘no rules’ tasting menu by Chef Rahul Sharma in collaboration with Chef Vinesh Johny on August 26, 2022


The innovative food programme at ARAKU is set to get more playful with the introduction of more themed dinners and tasting menus. Witness Head Chef Rahul Sharma’s cuisine-agnostic experiments with food and Chief Advisor Aditi Dugar’s thoughtfully crafted dining experiences. “We explore various textures and flavour possibilities of produce, and through it we extract the full potential of food,” says Rahul Sharma. ‘Mash!’ brings forth a series of hyper-seasonal tasting menus, collaborations with chefs, pop-ups across cities – experiences that showcase ARAKU is not just about great coffee!   


There are two things that go together like wine and cheese, pen and paper, song and dance. And even though they are opposite on the flavour spectrum, we strive to find the perfect balance between sweet and savory. Following the success of the first edition, the second edition of Mash! promises an exciting collaboration between Bangalore’s renowned chefs: Rahul Sharma and Vinesh Johny of Lavonne Café & Academy, who come together to spotlight two beloved ingredients that inform their respective menus: Salt & Sugar


The menu, with 10 plates—both small and big, will feature experimental dishes championing salt and sugar. Expect a wacky (but well-balanced!) menu with dishes such as doughnut hotdog with banana broth, filo pastry with charred eggplants, fried chicken with chocolate and more.


Guests can pair the experience with a selection of new age wines. Organic and biodynamic wines have long been hailed as the future. ARAKU is proud to offer a wine list that aligns with its agricultural practices and core values; wines that are produced with minimal artifice.
