Instant isn’t in our vocabulary; with ARAKU Coffee, slow is the way to go! Introducing ARAKU Open House: an open-for-all invitation to explore the world of specialty coffee. This program under ARAKU World Specialty Coffee Academy (fondly known as AWSCA) aims to foster a more inclusive and accessible coffee community, one cup at a time.

Come hear insights from Sherri Johns, Araku's Coffee Mentor (Coffeeologist) and former WBC Head Judge, Co-author of technical standards of WBC and Barista Champion, (pre WBC).

This will be an hour long discussion addressing the challenges faced by baristas in India and beyond. It will touch base on problems one may face in and out the coffee bar as well. If you’re thinking thoughts of how to get into the barista profession or what the perks are of being a barista, this one’s for you! This interactive session will deep dive into what it takes to become the ambassador of specialty coffee and what it means to you.

Panel will be led by Sherri Johns along with Sumanth Paranjape (Cafe Manager/Barista Trainer) and Shibu Sara (Certified Barista Trainer).
