Calling students from grades 8 to 12 to get introduced to Asian Parliamentary Debate through the upcoming workshop series by The Circular Square

Facilitator of this workshop has been very active in public speaking and communication space. Winner of Best Delegate – General Assembly (Legal – Kumarans Model UN), Honourable Delegate (Kumarans Model UN), Quarterfinalist at National Law School (NLS) Parliamentary Debate, Finalist at Aditi Parliamentary Debate – 2019, participant in Indian Schools Debating Society’s selection for Team India and Grade 6 in LAMDA Communications Exam - are some of her achievements

About the workshop:

From constructing policy models to challenging definitions, from rebuttal to POIs, participants will learn the format of Parliamentary Debating and participate in mock debates.

Participants will:

a) Learn and understand the format

b) Understand speaker roles

c) Learn to construct an argument

d) Learn effective rebuttal

and use these skills in mock debates with intriguing motions.

This experience is sure to help participants learn nuances of and gain confidence for any formal debate tournaments that they participate in future. This workshop comprises of 8 sessions planned on 8 Sundays on Google meet from 9:30 to 11 am.
