About the Event

Awaaz Do is a cultural initiative by 4/4 Experiences to address, act and positively contribute towards solving urban problems that plague Mumbai. With the support of Social Offline under the #SocialSupports banner, the first edition of Awaaz Do will take place on the 31st of January 2019 at Flea Bazaar Café in Lower Parel, Mumbai.


The music artist line-up will feature performances by:


- Ankur & the Ghalat Family


- Maati Baani


- Swadesi


- Prakash Bhoir and the Aarey Collective (Prakash is the tribal chieftain of Aarey colony)


- Avi


The event will also feature talks by leading conservation speakers and activists:


Nikit Surve, Lepoard Researcher and Research Associate at the Wildlife Conservation Society – India


Topic: Leopards of Mumbai


Stalin Dayanand, Director of Vanashakti (NGO)


Topic: Fragile Forests and Rivers of Mumbai


All proceeds for the show will go towards the conservational efforts of Vanashakti. Funds raised will be used towards protection of the Aarey forest and legal cases that Vanashakti have been battling for the forests’ conservation.

Avi is the project of Avinash Tewari, a member of vocal ensemble Voctronica. With his songwriting project, the vocalist puts conscious poetry over electronic basslines; because we all need to think, but we also need to dance.
