About the Event

Jamjar Diner and Bombaywalla are delighted to take you on a walk around Bandra. Meet the locality’s beloved and eccentric inhabitants- the jazz trumpeter from Bazaar Road who plays his solos on a broken stool, the umbrella wielding vigilante editor and the dainty writer who tips her tea on a heap of rubble created by the BMC! Hear their intriguing stories about Uncle George who buried his horse in the backyard, the skeletons of Dr. Rebello and his dog, and the babies that were never baptised.

The walk will be conducted by Miss Bombaywalla, Dr. Simin Patel, who will begin by giving a brief history of Bandra, and then take the participants to meet Bandra’s beloved inhabitants.

Bombaywalla Historical Works is a platform that creates awareness about Bombay’s built environment and social history. Bombaywalla operates a blog, conducts historical walks and curates public history projects for various organisations.
