About the Event
This event is part of Florartica 2021 series, where The Circular Square in collaboration with expert naturalists and nature artists, will bring to you a series of workshops and knowledge sharing sessions to understand and connect with nature like never before.
In this session, join Prasad Natarajan, one of India’s acclaimed wildlife artist, art mentor and the founder of Artist for Wildlife and Nature (AWN), as he walks you through works of Botanical Masters of India, followed by techniques and demonstration of parts of Hibiscus flower. Participants will sketch along with Prasad and learn to realistically sketch the detailed subject of Hibiscus flower.
All you need for this session is an internet connection, a sketchbook, a mechanical pencil and pen/black ink. Minimum age criteria to join this workshop is 12 years, with no upper age limit to join. Please select ticket for Art work submission, if you wish to submit any nature-based art work prepared by you for virtual exhibition that will be hosted by Bangalore Nature art group and reviewed by expert nature artists from Florartica 2021 series. About facilitator:
Prasad Natarajan is Bangalore based wildlife artist and founder of Artist for Wildlife and Nature (AWN). A self-taught artist and art mentor, Prasad has been working on wildlife art since 2005. His work has been featured in many leading wildlife magazines and calendars, within India and overseas. Prasad has several nature art exhibitions and shows to his credit, such as "Artists for Birds”, "AWN Miniatures”. He has curated Asia’s first international wildlife virtual art exhibition in 2020. He works in all mediums and travels around the world to study his subjects’ behavior in their natural habitat, followed by images & sketches, with subsequent finished works at his studio Mango Grove Art Gallery/Studio. His style of work is impressionist realism.
