Present Day. Palani - An Idyllic Temple Town in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Home to the

famous centuries old temple dedicated to the much loved and powerful deity Lord Murugan

(Son of Lord Shiva).

It is the day of Deepavali (The Festival of Lights). As people are caught up in happy festivity, it is

the beginning of a nightmare for Easwaran. He is wrongfully accused of raping his 8 year old

niece Sundari’s best friend. It will take every bit of his strength to prevail until his innocence is

proven. Just when he thinks that the worst is behind him, his worst nightmares come to life. His

reason for being, Sundari herself is kidnapped.

In the absence of his brother, Easwaran had raised the child as his own. He desperately

searches for clues to her whereabouts, each turn looking more hopeless than the last. With a sympathetic local Police Force doing the best they can, Easwaran starts his quest to bring his Sundari back. The inexplicable end to this quest will change the lives of Easwaran and his family forever. In a society that almost always throws hopeless answers to disturbing questions about the safety of our children, only one question keeps presenting itself to Easwaran repeatedly.
