A CLASSICAL COLLAGE

The Bangalore School of Music (BSM) Chamber Orchestra brings you this season a collage of works ranging from Mendelssohn, Schubert, Benjamin Britten, to Gluck, each of them in completely contrasting periods and styles.

While the major piece of the evening is the single-movement Symphony no 10 Mendelssohn, the other highlight is the dramatic and sophisticated Schubert string quartet ‘Death and the Maiden.’

We also play the radiant and melancholy Sentimental Sarabande by Benjamin Britten, and an overture by Christoph Gluck.
