Magnetic Fields Festival has just announced details for its Bangalore pre-party, which is set to take place on 16 December at The Humming Tree, Bangalore.

The event will feature music by three incredible acts, who will also be playing at the festival - Viennese-born, self-taught multi-instrumentalist and producer Oliver Thomas Johnson, aka Dorian Concept, Pune/London based prodigy Sarathy Korwar and support.

About Dorian Concept:

There is a certain element of playfulness and wonder that can be heard in the music of the Viennese-born, self-taught multi-instrumentalist and producer Oliver Thomas Johnson, aka Dorian Concept. In 2008, he participated in the Red Bull Musical Academy and released his first EP ‘Maximized Minimalization’ on the Viennese label Affine Records.

About Sarathy Korwar:

Sarathy Korwar is a percussionist and composer born in the US, raised in Ahemdabad and Chennai in India and currently based in London. Itching to create a piece of art under his own name, Sarathy was awarded the Steve Reid Innovation Award by PRS for Music and Steve Reid Foundation and has since been mentored by the likes of Four Tet, Gilles Peterson and Emanative. His first album ‘Day To Day’ was released on Ninja Tune this July to massive acclaim, and features field recordings of Sidi musicians – descendants of African migrants in India.
