About the Event

Did you ever wonder if you could brew your painting? Yes, we are talking about painting with coffee!

Coffee painting is a soothing and delightful art to express your creativity on paper/canvas. While the sepia tones in the art gives it a unique monochromatic appeal, using the right combinations allows you to experiment with different hues of the monochrome.

This workshop will be about painting a portrait of Buddha and the following:

-Playing with shades of coffee to give the effect of embossed

-Giving a slight 3D feel to the painting

-Creating different shadows using just coffee

and to learn abstract methods of rendering

About the Artist - Hima Bindu

Growing up, art & crafts and paintings were a big part of Hima’s school and college curriculums. Hima draws her inspiration from her mother who Paints using Black Ink. Hima paints in 12 different styles and renders most of the Indian art forms using coffee. She has been painting for almost 8 years now and is very well known for her coffee art.

During the workshop, Hima Bindu will guide participants to make use of coffee as the primary medium instead of oil, watercolor, acrylic or any other form of paint. Although coffee paintings involve working with only one color, but its potential for art is limitless. Participants will be able to use coffee as a resourceful medium to be able to create texture, shadows, and gradients
