About the Event

Untouched and fairly unexplored, North-East remains a mystery, with a cuisine that harbours some interesting flavours, rarely found in other parts of the country. From Raw Papaya in curries to using Duck as a protein, people from the seven sisters do things differently and sure know how to make it taste delicious.


Gitika Saikia, a marketing communications professional and a North-Eastern food curator in Mumbai is preparing a meal for you, straight from the other side of India. She started her culinary journey to create an awareness about the unexplored cuisines of the North East. In the process, she has launched a gourmet pickle brand named Gitika's PakGhor in the market and a cookery show called Assamese PakGhor on India Food Network. Join her for a unique culinary journey.
