About the place

Carved into the basaltic rock of a hill fort, Dhak Bahiri caves are a sacred place of worship for local villagers. It can be reached after a trek from Jambhivali. There is a narrow passage, followed by a traverse on a steep rock patch near the cave. Also, one needs to climb a tree ladder to get inside the cave. The ladder is tied strongly for support and there are ropes laid out across the traverse for better grip. Once inside the cave, you can relax with cool water from the natural tank and pay your respects to God Bahiri at the temple. Villagers have also placed utensils in the cave to help trekkers cook food. The view from Dhak Bahiri caves is phenomenal. 10:45 pm Leave for base village by private bus

11:00 pm Pickup from K Star Mall , Chembur

11:30 pm Pickup from Vashi Below Main Bridge
