About the Event

Anya Welfare Foundation brings an opportunity for all budding directors and editors to explore the realm of Filmmaking in an interactive session with Arsh Grewal and Mohit Mukhi (Gltch).

Arsh Grewal is a visual artist who multi-hyphenates as a filmmaker, stop-motion animator and photographer. Started off as a music photographer in 2019, she’s now seen curating content for various brands, delivering ad films and music videos from conceptualisation to the final product. A self-taught stop motion artist having learnt the skill during lockdown, she’s currently working on a bunch of films with a promise to constantly learn from and experiment with what’s around her.

Gltch, known for his works in the Indian hip hop scene with DIVINE & Gully Gang, is a photographer, director, and creative producer, working at GG Entertainment (popularly known as Gully Gang) to create and curate content. Starting out as a photographer who just took his camera, one gig to another, Gltch has come a long way since 2015 and has been creating for various artists, brands and agencies!

All proceeds generated from this session will be donated to Feeding From Far - An initiative to feed Mumbai’s poor and unemployed, struggling to support their families during the lockdown. They distribute ration kits that last a family of 5 for an entire week.

All the attendees would be given a short filmmaking assignment at the end of the session. Top 2 submissions would get a chance to assist Arsh on her next project closer to your city.

What do you need to have to attend this session?

Well, not much. You can join with a clean slate, a pen & paper and definitely leave with a lot of insights!

And of course, a camera!

Will you get access to the recorded copy of the workshop?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide a recorded copy of the workshop. We also strictly prohibit any recording of the workshop at your end.

What if you have questions after the end of the workshop?

There will be a Q&A session during & towards the end of the workshop. The artists will try to answer as many questions as possible.

You don't want to attend the workshop, can you still donate?

Yes, the donation link will be up on www.ketto.org and Anya’s Instagram page. Donate as much as you like. No amount is insignificant in bettering the lives of those in need.
