The ability to draw things as you see them is the first step to become an artist or a designer. It could range from a small object on a table to a large view of a city from an airplane. Join us for a beginner level workshop where you will learn to capture beautiful architecture

around you in your own style.

This is a beginner level course for anyone who has basic interest in sketching, art and design, and wishes to learn the concept of

sketching from observations.

The course covers

• An introduction to method and techniques to draw what you see, using pen and ink

• Simplyfying complex scenes and breakdown of geometry

• Introduction to basic perspectives and using them in sketches

• Pen and Ink rendering techniques

• Using basic principles to sketch buildings and monuments

• Sketching Nature - Plants, trees, rocks and water

• Sketching Humans, Objects and transport

Minimum age to join: 13 years

The course comprises of 5 online classes of 1.5 hours each with two batch options:

Option 1: Alternate weekdays between 5 to 14 July 7:30-9 pm IST

Option 2: Saturdays & Sundays from 3 to 17 July 4-5:30 pm IST

About facilitator:

Salmaan is an architect and ilustrator from Chennai, with over 8 years experience in sketching, particularly on location and live, with pen and ink medium. A traveler who never forgets to carry his sketchbook and pens along, his work has collection of sketches made by him on locations across the country. He shares his knowledge and learnings with aspiring sketchers through workshops.
