The Globetrotters Footprints organises Duur er Dugga 1, 7th season, the Puja Parikrama of the famous Bonedi bari or the traditional, aristrocratic family pujas of the villages of Janai, Baksa and Garalgachha in the Hooghly district of Bengal on Maha shashthi.

Most of these Pujas are two to three centuries old and are being carried out by generations.

We will visit :

Karta Bari, Kali babur bari, Ganguly Bari, Bazaar Bari, Kali Prasanna Singha`s Bari

Baksa Chowdhury Bari, Mitra Bari, 

Dwadash Shiva Temple, Baddyi Mata Mandir 

And Garalgachha Babuder Bari ( Mukherjee). It is said that Sadhak Ramprasad and Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa dev visited this house. 

We will get to see their preparations for Bodhon, or the ushering puja of Maa Durga.
