Echoes du Monde or Echoes of the world makes you travel around in a space which has Thumri and folk music in dialects like Awadhi , Braj from Uttar Pradesh, India to folk music in Portuguese and Spanish languages from around the world. The set is full of fresh and original music written, sung and composed by Mrinalini and accompanied by Manasquam Mahanta on Guitar and Nitish Ramabhadran on Keys.

About the band

Mrinalini Tewari is an Indian Award-Winning Documentary Filmmaker, Music Producer and Singer-Songwriter. Her debut musical documentary film Echoes from the soil of Kashmir won several awards at National and International Level.Based out of Mumbai, Mrinalini is also one of the leading contemporary musicians in India. Trained as an Indian Classical singer she bridges across different genres of music like Hindustani Classical Music and Folk music with Jazz. She collaborated with the Jazz maestro Igor Butman Quintet with her Indian classical elements at National center for performing arts, Mumbai. She has given Music and been the voice for various films and performed across India’s leading Musical Festivals and venues. Mrinalini recently came out with her single ‘Naina' in Raag 'Bhairavi' where she collaborated with artists from Turkey and Iran.

Manasquam Mahanta is a guitarist, songwriter, and a composer-producer based out of Mumbai. He is popularly known as Mon among his friends. With a career in music continuing over a decade, Mon has cultivated his versatile musical sensibilities by exploring different genres, styles, forms, and working with various musicians across the globe. He has engaged in multiple collaborations with artists, bands, composers and producers.

His musical repertoire consists of the sophisticated Hindustani classical music, Blues, Funk, Ghazal, Progressive Rock, Heavy Metal, Folk and Jazz Fusion.

Mon has performed and collaborated with some exceptional artists like Papon, Pritam, Bombay Vikings, Leslie Lewis, Nikhil D'souza, Nikhita Gandhi, Santoor Maestro Rahul Sharma to name a few. He has also played, recorded and designed music for multiple movies, documentaries, web series’s and albums including shows like Bhoomi by Salim Sulaiman, Mixtape, Coke Studio and MTV Unplugged.

Nitish Ramabhadran

Nitish Rambhadran is a songwriter, film composer, producer and a multi-instrumentalist based out of Mumbai.

Nitish’s music draws from a range of influences blending folk, jazz and most importantly contemporary piano with elements of electronica to create a sound that is truly his own.
