Elijah Fox 🎹 is a genre-defying multi-instrumentalist, singer, and producer whose sound seamlessly blends jazz, Impressionism, and psychedelic soul. Born and raised in Durham, NC 🌆, Fox’s musical journey began at age 11 when he started playing piano 🎶. Under the mentorship of Yusuf Salim, a pianist who played with the legendary Charlie Parker 🎷, Fox quickly immersed himself in the world of jazz, performing in local clubs from a young age.

Fox refined his craft at Oberlin Conservatory 🎓, studying piano with masters like Sullivan Fortner, Billy Hart, Dan Wall, and Gary Bartz, before graduating in 2017. Shortly after, he moved to New York City 🏙️, where his career took off. One of his standout achievements came when his piano composition “East Village” was sampled by Drake and 21 Savage 🔥 on their hit “Major Distribution,” which soared to #3 on the Billboard charts 📈.

As a sought-after producer and musician, Fox has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including SZA 🎤, Masego 🎷, YG 💥, ScHoolboy Q 🏆, Denzel Curry 🔥, Kali Uchis 🌙, Childish Gambino 🦁, Tate McCrae 🌟, Musiq Soulchild 🎶, and J. Cole 🎧, among many others. He’s also made waves with his own original compositions, like the viral sensation “Wyoming” 🌄, an impressionistic piano piece that blew up on TikTok 📱 and has since racked up over 20 million streams on Spotify 🎧.
