About the Event

Workshop Description

The Equality playdate workshop offers an engaging, immersive experience to introduce essential concepts like gender norms, equality, diversity, emotional intelligence, intersectionality, and consent. Through fun, interactive activities, children and parents explore these topics together, fostering open conversations about respect, empathy, and inclusivity. The children move from station to station (mentioned below) and cover these concepts through play, while the parents have a conversation around these issues and tools to continue the work on breaking down stereotypes at home:

- Tea station and Build a structure - Gender Norm and Roles

- Brown Egg/White Egg - Equality and Diversity

- Cutting Onions - Emotional Intelligence

- Let’s make a rainbow - Intersectionality

- Story time : made by Raffi - Diversity and Intersectionality

- Partner Yoga - Consent

The workshop encourages children to understand different perspectives, recognize emotions, and develop a sense of equality and consent, while empowering parents to support their child’s growth in these areas. It creates a safe space for families to learn and grow together in building a more inclusive mindset.
