About the Event
The construction of New Delhi and the building of Rashtrapati Bhavan is a stuff of history, anecdotes and riveting tales. It took twenty years to construct the Imperial City of Delhi. The Rashtrapati Bhavan and Secretariat Buildings stands erect on the Raisina Hill like the jewels in the crown. Take this walk as we travel back in time more than 100 years back to revisit the years that led to the construction of what we see as Rashtrapati Bhavan.
In this walk we are going to explore the most controversial and talked about heritage space in recent times ie. Central Vista. The straight road that connects India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhawan was built and designed by British. In recent times it has been renamed as 'kartaviya path'. In this walk we will walk from India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhawan and talk about the art, architecture and history of the monument. We will also talk about building of the New Delhi under British Raj. A must for people who love walking and Lutyens Delhi.
Also this is a guided walk, and a fun surprise is EIH is in collaboration with "Yulu" electric Bikes, this heritage walk will be an experience to remember.
