About the Event
The History of Pottery Making is as Old as the Civilization of Mankind. We find Spectacular evidence from the Indus Valley Civilization. Before the urban pottery boutiques became the latest fad for dating ideas, the kumhar community patiently used to form and shape different utensils for functional and utilitarian purposes. In Delhi, the 'kumhar gram' is one such area where potters are settled. While the men shape and form pottery utensils the women decorate them with patience and style.
Join us upcoming EIH walk in the pottery village of Uttam Nagar to learn how to work with clay and buy from the local.
