About the Event
Artist in Me series
Participants will learn to fold paper animals that respond to touch and mimic motion. These kinetic forms echo the gestures of wildlife captured through motion-triggered camera traps, blurring the boundary between stillness and animation, observation and creation.
Each fold becomes a thoughtful response to the rhythms of the natural world, transforming paper into birds in flight, tigers mid-leap, or deer caught in a fleeting moment. This session brings together artistic exploration, ecological sensitivity, and technical skill in a practice rooted in attention and transformation.
Participant Takeaways
• Learn origami techniques with a focus on movement and form.
• Create interactive paper animals inspired by motion-captured wildlife.
• Reflect on how observation shapes artistic and ecological understanding.
• Take home an origami artwork that celebrates the harmony of art and nature.
