About the Event

Radhika Batra Shah founder of Radhikas Fine Teas & Whatnots would be collaborating with Chef Paul Kinny for the next Crafted For You workshop - “From Garden To Cup” at Craft Deli.Bistro.Bar followed by a High Tea.

It’s that time of the year again, the time when house parties and guests come in dozens. A few handy tricks to impress your friends your knowledge of food and tea pairings is always a good idea. Chef Paul Kinny and Tea Sommelier Radhika Batra will facilitate a fun and delicious evening as they pair a 5-course meal with teas sourced from around the world, and easily available in the city.

This session Radhika says, “The word ‘tea’ is used to describe a mealtime, it refers to the mid to late afternoon meal that is traditional in England and other countries. At this meal, tea is served along with finger foods such as sandwiches and scones. Tea and food pairing has now come a long way since the 5 o’clock ‘tea time’ - today tea can be enjoyed through the day and even lends itself to a heightened dining experience.” At the workshop at Craft we will serve tea with appetizers, mains and desserts like Tiramisu, Asian Crunch Salad… just to name a few. The workshop will be a multi-sensory, one of its kind of a fun, enjoyable experience with a bit of insight into different kinds of teas and the regions where they come from.

Chef Paul says, “Pairing tea with food is an art of curation. The right tea-food pairing entails not just simple matching, but also an in-depth knowledge of the leaves to ensure that the food doesn’t overwhelm the flavour of the tea.” With this in mind, Chef Paul Kinny and she have come together curated an remarkable 5 Course menu where they have paired Kokum Tea sourced from Thailand with Solkadhi, Longhing Green Tea Leaves from China will be infused in Craft’s bestseller Asian Salad to resonate your energy and The Darjeeling Oolong Tea infusion will be used by chef to make Grilled Chicken.

Join in for a captivating tasting and appreciate the goodness of tea beyond just a regular cup at our very own Craft Kitchen followed by Hi-Tea.
