The Gond tribe believe that looking at a good picture begets good luck! That’s why they take their art extremely seriously. While Gond tribal art can be traced back to 1400 years, the cave paintings from Gond regions date back to the Mesolithic Period.

At this workshop on Gond Folk Art, our artist Eshita Nimje will take you through the classic Gond technique of ‘on line work.’ Delve deep into the natural and mythological motifs that characterize this art and create your own Gond masterpiece with us along the way.

You will learn about the brush strokes for line technique, color combinations & patterns of an authentic Gond painting inspired from the tribes & their culture.
