Kalamkari is an age old technique of painting on cloth which bring the hindu epics to life. Join us for a workshop where we dive into to the art of drawing expressive and graceful faces and mudras in the style of Kalamkari.

This workshop will cover drawing of faces in 4-5 different profiles and a few hand positions

This is a two-day online workshop on zoom.( one and a half hour each day)

This is a live session and no recordings will be provided.

The workshop will be conducted in Hindi.

What Do You Learn

Day 1

4-5 borders

5 mudras

Day 2

2 straight profile faces (man & woman)

2 side profile faces (man & woman)

1 full composition

List of Materials Needed

4 Sheets – Basic Drawing Paper or any Paper available

Pencil

Eraser

Pen – Pigment pen, Micro-tip pen, Ball pen, Markers or a Sketch pen. If none of the above are available you can use any pen which is available at home.

A red colour pen, marker or paint which is available

Date: 15th & 16th September, 2020

Time: 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm (It will be a one and a half hours class per day)

It might exceed by 15 mins since we will be teaching the details.

Fees: ₹1500/-

The zoom link will be sent on registered number about 30 mins before the workshop schedule time on WhatsApp.

We try and plan a subject which can give you the maximum insight into The Art form.

The artwork may or may not finish during the session. We shall start and finish as much as possible and send you a complete image of what is taught during the session.
