About the Event

SUGAM DARSHAN


This is a special process for quick queue-less, hassle free darshan experience. It has been designed for devotees with time constraint, divyangs or any such disability who cannot afford to wait in queue. In this process a shastri accompanies the devotee for darshan directly without queue and special prasad is provided to devotee.

-No ticket required for child(ren) below 12 yrs

- Booking date cannot be rescheduled

-At the time of aarti, sugam darshan is not allowed

- On call booking facility is not available.

AARTI


MANGLA AARTI

Mangla aarti is important because it is first aarti in the morning.The Scriptures talk of the "Brahma muhurta" hour. It means one hour and a half before the sun comes up. This time is very auspicious because the sun is pushing all of the energies of the Earth from a sleeping stage to an awakened stage. Similarly it is pushing the mind, the intelligence, and the bodies of all the living entities from a sleeping stage to a higher stage of awakening. Therefore, mangla aarti is calculated to be at that time, and if we give our attention and energy towards glorifying the Lord, it is very beneficial to begin the day hearing and chanting about the glories of the Lord. 


TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

-The Aarti begins between 3:00-4:00 AM every morning.

-Devotees are allowed to enter the temple between 2:30-3:00 AM.

-Entry Point is Gate No.1 (Dhundi Raj Ganesh)

MID DAY BHOG AARTI

Every noon, Bhog Aarti is performed in Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is second Aarti after Mangla Aarti. Bhog Aarti is offering of food to Lord who gives this food to us. After offering, food is distributed among all present devotees as Prasad.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

- The Aarti is performed between 11:15 AM-12:20 PM every day.

-Devotees are advised to enter the temple at 10:45 AM (Half an hour before the Aarti)

-Entry for children upto the age of 10 years is free

-It is compulsory to show ticket at the entry point of the temple

-No refund policy


SAPT RISHI AARTI

The Sapt Rishi Aarti is an ancient ritual dating back to more than 750 years. The seven Shastri/Purohit/Pandit each belonging to a different Gotra perform the Aarti simultaneously. It is believed that every evening, the Saptarishis (the seven great sages) come to perform Aarti to the deity, and hence this puja is conducted every evening at 7 PM.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

-On the day of purnima, sapt rishi Aarti will start before an hour of its time

-The Aarti is performed on every evening between 7:00-8:15 PM

-Devotees are advised to enter the temple at 6:30 PM (Half an hour before the Aarti)

SHRINGAR/BHOG AARTI

Every Evening, Shringar Bhog Aarti is performed in Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is the fourth aarti of the day after Sapt Rishi Aarti. Shringar Bhog aarti is offering of food to Lord who gives this food to us. After offering, food is distributed among all present devotees as prasad.

-The Aarti is performed every day between 9:00 PM -10:15 PM

- Devotees are advised to enter the temple at 8:30 PM(Half an hour before the Aarti)

RUDRABHISHEK


RUDRABHISHEK (1 SHASTRI)

Rudra is the name of Lord Shiva. The essence of this puja is the holy chant of Sri Rudram from the Yajur Veda and giving a holy bath to the shivling with many materials including Panchamrit or fruit salad soaked in honey. This is one of the most powerful forms of worship in Hinduism and is believed to bless the devotees with prosperity and peace and remove the sins of many births. Shiva is a highly benevolent God and is easily pleased.

-One ticket is valid for one family only (Husband,wife & children below 12 years)

LAGHU RUDRA (11 SHASTRI)

This is a type of Rudrabhishek which is performed for special wish-seeking of devotees. It is believed to bless devotee with his desires & mannat of family welfare, peace, prosperity etc. In this type of Rudrabhishek the recital of ‘Ekadash Paath’ is done by 11 Brahmin’s for 11 times. Its more extensive pooja than the Rudrabhishek.

MAHA RUDRABHISHEK (11 SHASTRI)

This is most extensive form of Rudrabhishek performed for seeking high order desires & wishes. It is believed to bless devotee with his desires & mannat of child birth, family welfare,  peace, prosperity etc. In this type of Rudrabhishek the recital of ‘Ekadash Paath’ is done by 121 Brahmin’s for 11 times. In this pooja more time, material and effort is consumed so is performed rarely.

20 YEARS RUDRABHISHEK

Under the long term Pooja Scheme; this can be performed on a specified day and date, selected by the devotee for a paid period of 20 years. ‘Rudrabhishek’ which is a special pooja performed for Lord Shiva has special significance for the devotees.

With the blessings of Baba Vishwanath serving food to Sanyasi who are dedicated to Lord and his service is a service to God itself.

SANYASI BHOJAN (MONDAY)

Monday is one of the most auspicious day of the week as it is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the ascetic God who lives in the mountains of Kailash. There are many rituals and myths associated with this Somvar Vrat/Puja as called in Hindi. Offering the food to Sanayasi is considered most virtuous deed. As it is believed that feeding a needy is an act of kindness.

DAINIK RATRI KALIN SHRINGAR (9 PM)

The importance of Shringar has been already described in the Shringar Arti Section. The Monday’s of this month bears special significance for the devotee. The trust organizes special feast for the poor, needy & Bhakts of Baba. They can seek the blessings of lord by donating in this HOLY purpose.

SHRAVAN SOMVAR SANYASI BHOJAN 

The auspicious month of Shravan Is believed to be the month of Bholenath & his blessings.The Monday’s of this month bears special significance for the devotee. The trust organizes special feast for the poor, needy & Bhakts of Baba. You can be a part of this pious act by paying an amount fixed by the trust.

EVERY PURNIMA SHRINGAR

The day of Purnima is the day (Tithi) in each month when the full moon occurs, and marks the division in each month between the two lunar fortnights (Paksha). If we look at mythological texts, the special effects and significance of Mahadev's makeover hasbeen described.

-Offering saffron on Shivaling gives us gentleness.

-Anointing Mahadev with sugar is believed to give happiness and prosperity. Doing so leads to eradicate poverty from human life.

-Applying perfume on Shivling is believed to promote sacred and pure Thoughts .This prevents us from going on the wrong path of life.

-Offering milk to Shiv-Shankaris associated with health benefits and keeping away from diseases

-Offering Curd to Parvatiapathi is believed to take awayproblem and provide a trouble free life

The milk bath of Mahadev bears Special significance for the devotees.

HAUD BHARAI (FROM MILK-580 LTR.)

It is a special pooja performed by donating an amount to the temple, equivalent to the cost of 580 litres of milk. This milk is used to fill up the Kund around the Shivlinga in the sanctum. Special significance of the pooja is associated with ‘Mannat’ & Thanks giving. Haud Bharai can be performed on special occasions as well as specified days.

Akhand Jyoti offering is believed to eradicate sorrows and sufferings and deliver divine grants. Thousands of devotees daily throng for its Darshan and seek blessings. It can be performed by donating a specific amount to the temple trust which maintains this divine practice

LAKSHA BILARVACHAN

‘Laksha’ in telugu means 1 lakh. This pooja is performed by 1 lakh ‘belva patri’ or ‘Bel Patra’ which has special significance for Lord Shiva worship. It can be performed on special occasions or specified days (except Shravan).

Pooja of Satya Narayan Bhagwan is very important in Hindu religion. Puja and recital of story of Satyanarayan is done on special occasions like home entry, child birth, Mundan, marriage, birthday, etc.

In a belief to fulfill their desireable tasks people have been performing Satyanarayan Pooja since ancient times . After this pooja giving Dakshina to the poor and the Brahmins is also common practice. Many people worship and recite Satyanarayan in the form of Manna, and also worship Satyanarayan to thank many Gods.
