Experience the idyllic charm of spring at KNMA in the Park — an enchanting fusion of movement, music, art, and nature. Set against the serene backdrop of Sunder Nursery's lakeside lawn, from contemporary dance theatre to site-specific modern dance, an Indo-western fusion ensemble to Sufi and folk music, from picnic snacks to interactive art - the day will have something on offer for everyone.
PM | KAAGAZ is a Nritya Naatika by the group MISBEHAVING BEAUTIFULLY from Ahmedabad. It celebrates everyday experiences through unadorned stories, blending drama, dance, and music. Inspired by diverse cultures from Bollywood to the Bronx, it is an interdisciplinary experience that offers a glimpse into the joys and sorrows of contemporary life.
PM | SUMEET NAGDEV DANCE ARTS present HARMONY a site-specific contemporary dance performance created for the stunning Central Vista of Sunder Nursery. The dancer’s fluid movements, unburdened by elaborate costumes or a stage, evoke a strong sense of connection – a bridge between humanity and the earth’s innate vitality. The dancers will perform with a live music ensemble consisting of the sounds of the mandolin, keyboard, cello, djembe, cahon, and voice.
PM | 2 INDIAS, a project originally commissioned by the Embassy of Spain, aims to reimagine the works of legendary Spanish Composer and pianist, Isaac Albéniz by performing them for the first time with Indian Classical instruments fused with jazz, modern piano, and electronic elements. It is a collaboration between pianist and composer Sahil Vasudeva with leading exponents of sitar - Suhel Saeed Khan, and sarangi - Shahnawaz Khan from Dilli Gharana joined by Makrand Sanon on world percussion.
30 PM | SHARMISTHA CHATTERJEE LIVE is an eclectic blend of Sufi, Folk, and semi-classical songs. Her performance unfolds on a musical canvas that seamlessly merges traditional and contemporary styles. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant spirit of Delhi, where centuries-old heritage structures and monuments harmonize with modern urban infrastructures, the performance will be a unique fusion of the past and present. Sharmistha has been the lead singer with the Mekaal Hasan Band and performed on Coke Studio Pakistan, as well as worked with leading music composers from India, like Amit Trivedi.
