Synopsis :

Pramod, an egotistic rich landowner wants to marry Mohini, daughter of a middle-class farmer- Chunni Lal. Pramod is planning to ask Mohini’s hand from her father, planning out his moves on how to take this forward, while Mohini is spending some leisure time with her friend, Rasiya.

The story revolves around back and forth fights between the two protagonists, starting with a heated discussion on Kamla Maidaan- An unconfirmed farm where Chunni Lal has employed his fellow farmers. This argument reveals to the dismay of all- an undisclosed affair between Chunni Lal and Pramod’s Aunt and leads to a cold war between Pramod and Mohini, to which Rasiya, already interested and waiting for any such opportunity, tries on Pramod. This mis-interpreted scene evokes another fight between the 2 protagonists, questioning Pramod’s orientation and satisfactory abilities.

The continuous arguments lead to Pramod getting unconscious, which eventually makes Mohini realize, along with Chunni Lal’s eye-openers, that it was her mistake only to not understand the entire truth and directs her true feelings towards Pramod. The takeaway from the story being that love, patience and non-egotistic nature triumphs over any adversity that may follow.

The play ends with Pramod and Mohini’s marriage and a fun-filled short Honeymoon sequence, with Pramod seeking guidance on his moves from no other than Chunni Lal himself.
