Madhubani painting is dominantly figurative art, practiced in the Mithila region of Bihar. The artists illustrate their life stories, flowers, animals and birds. Join us for a two-day workshop where we will learn the art of drawing animals, rendered in Madhubani style.

The course will be conducted in two sessions (one hour per session) on Zoom.

The class will be conducted in Hindi.

Day 1

5 to 6 Borders

6 to 8 Buttis

Pencil sketches for animals – 2 birds and 4 animals

Day 2

A Madhubani Composition – with animals

Painting (Demo)

It might not complete during the workshop hours.

We will start and you can complete and send us pictures.

We will send the coloured picture to you.

List of Material Needed

3 Sheets – Basic Drawing Paper or any Paper available

1 A4 size paper for final drawing

Pencil

Eraser

Pen – Pigment pen, Micro-tip pen, Ball pen, Markers or a Sketch pen. If none

of the above are available, you can use any pen which is available at home.

Date: 30th & 31st July 2020 on Zoom

Time: 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm (It will be a one and a half hours class per day)

It might exceed by 15 mins since we will be teaching the details.

Fees: ₹700.

We try and plan a subject which can give you the maximum insight into the Art form. The pictures we put on the posts are actually for you to understand what you can do after attending the workshop.

*We are more than happy to teach. Please note if time permits, we will answer all your queries during the class or try to email them to you.
