This workshop focuses on traditional forms with authentic style of painting using tools to give you the original feel of the state of Mithila and then apply it to a range of Home Decor products. Participants will get hands on experience to create and apply Madhubani artforms on various surfaces and use it to create intricately beautiful Tea kettle along with small tea glasses to go with it! Sukriti Sureka is an artist who prevails from Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Painting for her is a medium to express and bring to light, issues and concepts which cannot be described with words. She works with various mediums and forms. Abstract and surreal themes are depicted prominently in most of her works. Madhubani art form has been passed on to her by her mother and grandmother and she continues to paint this art form in contemporary ways. She also does murals, paper craft and charcoal sketches.  Sukriti has done her schooling from Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School, Jaipur; where she was introduced to various mediums of art. She completed her graduation from Narsee Monjee College in Mumbai. She has taken training under Madhubani artist Kamini Devi (Muzaffarpur) to further refine her Madhubani art form. She has done a diploma in Fine Arts from Sir J. J. school of Art, Mumbai.
