Mumbai’s Whirling Kalapas are one of the many leading artists managed by Mixtape, drawing their audience in with their bluegrass inspired folk music and arrangements that include an array of acoustic and mallet instruments like violin, mandolin, guitar, shakers and bells. Indus Creed’s front man Uday Benegal heads the trio, reminding us of Sufjan Stevens and his bittersweet songs.

Ambient music takes an indie turn as Donn Bhatt+ Passenger Revelator stich the two together with extraordinary songwriting, chimey tunes and soundscapes that make you forget where you are. The Mumbai duo’s ecstatic video “Disco, Disco” was nominated under the Best Music Video category at the SXSW festival this year and they will also be playing at the Glastonbury Festival, later in this month.
