Muria Ghotul painting is a special kind of artwork practised by the Muria community in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region. These vibrant artworks were originally created to decorate the walls of the ghotul, a significant institution in Muria society with religious, social, and cultural importance. But as ghotuls have become less common, Muria artists now paint on paper and canvas instead.
