About the Place:


Narasimha Parvatha or Agumbe peak is part of the famous Agumbe (Malandoor) to Sringeri (Kigga) Trekking Trail. Situated at an altitude of 1152 m in Shimoga, its the tallest peak (about 3779 feet) in Agumbe Ghats. The view from the peak is enchanting and one can view sunrise or sunset from here. is equally enchanting. Kudremukh ranges are visible from here. Valley between peak and Malandoor is mesmerizing. Paddy fields and peaceful villages are worth mentioning.

Trek Grade Easy to Moderate depending on the route.


Max. Elevation 1152 m / 3779 ft


Season Avoid Rainy season as trail gets slippery.


Activities Trekking, Camping, BBQ, Bonfire, Waterfalls.

Location Kigga & Malandoor/Malandoor & Kigga


Stay Baasic Lodging/Camping/Home Stay.


Itinerary: Kigga to Kigga (Total trek distance:12 km, Easy/Stay option: Basic Lodging, Camping)


Day 01: Depart previous day @10:30PM from pick up point, Reach stay location get fresh, breakfast and start hiking. Reach peak, spend some time and get back to Kigga from where transport will arranged to stay at sringeri/camp at our homestay@Kigga.


Day 02: Fresh up, Have Breakfast, Visit famous Sringeri Sharadamba Temple, VidyaShankar Temple and stroll across the banks of Tunga river.


Cost: 3000/- until 21st; 3280/- after 21st.


Cost Includes:


1 night stay at dormitory/Home Stay/Camping.


Spacious dome tents, sleeping bags.


2 Breakfast, 1 Lunch and 1 Dinner along with snacks.


Transportation to and fro as per itinerary (non AC).


Local trek guide.


Medical first aid support.


BBQ


Things to Carry:


Trekking shoes


Backpack (40-60 litres), Water proof


Socks (2 pairs): One sports socks, A pair of woollen socks for the night if trek is in winter.


Salt/Snuff Powder to avoid leeches during rainy and post rainy season.


Headlamp/Torch: Mandatory


Toiletries (Sunscreen, moisturiser, light towel, lip balm, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste).


Two water bottles: 1 litre each.


Personal Medications if any


Plastic covers/Water proof covers to keep wet cloths seperately and extra for when backpack is not 100% water proof.
