About the Event

New World Order is back for its 19th edition featuring Laxmi Bomb, Ankit Dayal & Dhruv Kapoor!

Gear up for a night of juicy indie tunes ranging across different genres to keep you grooving through the night!

Laxmi Bomb

Laxmi Bomb is a two-piece ‘firecracker’ of an electronic act from Goa that has been powder-kegging the Indie scene since 2013. With a fine mix of ‘raanti-rap’ driven vocals (read: straight off the street, local-flavoured-ghetto-styled-expletive-expressions), weapons rife with bass cannons and a string of the dirtiest Indian tunes to leave your bodies ringing, hold your pants, this explosive quarter set for a rave, as well as a rant.

The band has performed across the world at venues that include New York (Mondo Festival), Azores, Portugal (Tremor Festival) as well as a six-city tour across the Malaysian Peninsula. From headlining marquee festivals such as ‘Nariyal Paani’, to playing the big stages at the Ziro Festival of Music, Rajasthan, New Wave Festival, and Enchanted Valley Carnival, the band has

dropped bombs (of the peace-loving, dancing kind of course) around the country.

The Laxmi Bomb discography has 5 EPs and 1 full-length album in the kitty. The first two EPS, the uniquely titled Hॐ and Mah’ Bharat , were released in 2013 and 2014, respectively and distributed by Sony Music India. The next release came 2 years later in the form of another 5-track EP titled ‘Best of 2016’.

Ankit Dayal

From festival stages to campfires, Ankit Dayal has enthralled audiences with his diverse repertoire (circa 2010); performing and recording with his band Spud In The Box, as well as featured appearances with artists like Dhruv Vishwanath, Sid Vashi, Uday Benegal, Saachi, Warren Mendonsa, Salvage Audio Collective and Symphony Orchestra of India, and so on.

Ankit’s work as a solo artist brings together an eclectic mix of influences that range from electro-pop to R&B, from retro Bollywood to neo-soul. His self-produced 11-track debut ‘Tropical Snowglobe (Side A)’ was named the 3rd best album of 2022 by Rolling Stone India.

Having toured across India as well as the UK and Ireland, Ankit is now in the process of releasing ‘Tropical Snowglobe (Side B)’, his sonically expansive alt-pop second album. As a voice artist, music producer and writer based in Mumbai (India), Ankit has also lent his music, voice and words to clients such as Facebook, Audible, ColourPlus, HDFC, Github, and

more. With his own recording studio and creative hub ‘Bara Masa’, Ankit has established a space outside Mumbai for other artists to experiment and flourish in their craft, as well as execute and polish their creative products or services. Ankit is also the City Lead of Sofar Bombay (a part of the international entity Sofar Sounds), and has garnered writing credits for

other artists’ releases, screenwriting for TV, film and even game modules - thus establishing

himself in the centre of the creative professional industry in India.

Dhruv Kapoor

I'm Dhruv Kapoor, an independent singer-songwriter originally from New Delhi, now splitting my time between India and the United States. My music blends warm, soothing vocals with gentle acoustic melodies, reflecting my journey across cultures. Over the years, I’ve connected with listeners globally, amassing over 2.5 million streams. My most famous song, "What is Love, " has garnered over

a million streams, resonating deeply with my audience. My musical journey began with the release of my debut EP,

Heartbreak Paradise, which earned critical acclaim, won the Best Music Video Award in an Online Film Festival and a nomination for Best Debut Artist by The Indian Music Diaries. My second Hindi EP, Khoya Khoya, released with the major label Saregama, received over 100k streams on both YouTube and Spotify. I’ve had the privilege of performing live across various stages, including a self-organized tour of six cities and a three-city tour with Taba Chake, where I performed for audiences of over 500 people. Additionally, I’ve been a part of multiple shows with Sofar Sounds, sharing my music in intimate settings, and

have played at notable venues like Summerhouse, Piano Man Jazz Club, and Fandom. My work has been featured in prominent publications like Rolling Stone IN, Firstpost, Rock Street Journal, The New Indian Express, and Man's World

Magazine. Now, after a period of creative exploration, I’m excited to release my debut self-titled album, Dhruv Kapoor, on October 4th, 2024. This deeply personal project features 13 bilingual tracks, capturing my evolution as an artist and an

individual.
