About the Event
A culmination of rigour, power, passion and magic is the embodiment of street theatre. It’s on you, and your troupe to bring out a strong social message to an unsuspecting audience.

EVENT FORMAT:
This is a pre-registered college event. Registrations will take place via a Google form, an institute/theatre group should be registered as a single team with the number of team members specified.
ROUND 1: SCRIPT SUBMISSION
Teams will have to send a copy of the script of their performance along with the duration of the play, by mail to dramatics@hyderabad.bits-pilani.ac.in by 27th March ‘23, Thursday. You will be reverted back by the same ID within 12 hours. This is just a requisite to make sure that the script does not have any offensive mentions.
Round 2 : PERFORMANCE at Pearl ‘23
Teams will showcase their plays at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus during our Annual Cultural Fest - Pearl 2023.

RULES:
1. Time limit is 25 minutes including setup. (Teams that exceed the limit will be penalised).
2. Number of members in a team should not be more than 20. 1200/- per team
3. Theme can be chosen by the team but should not be against any particular caste, custom, society, or socio-economic background.
4. Use of props and musical instruments is optional. The required props, costumes, and musical instruments have to be arranged by the team themselves.
5. Use of fire/water/powder/explosives/fire crackers or any other potential harmful substances is strictly prohibited.
6. The street play should be in English, Hindi or Telugu. Although, short paragraphs in other regional languages are allowed. Excessive use of profanity is discouraged.
7. Scripts can be original or adapted. Although, if an adapted script is being performed, it is necessary to give credits to the concerned person/group.
8. Teams must not litter the performance arena.
9. Decision of judges will be final and no objections will be entertained.
