About the Event
It is among the oldest of the sciences. Over the centuries from Linnaeus’ work on taxonomy, it has undergone many changes in avatar, perpetually transforming our understanding of the natural world and natural phenomena. In this talk, I will outline how modern technology has resulted in exciting new advances in the study of birds, coupled with a revival of classical forms of study such as natural history collections. The talk will also stress upon what we can learn from the behaviour and natural history of these fascinating animals.
