About the Event

Do you want to learn about a different community's folk art? Do you want to bring back folk art culture since fewer artists are practicing it nowadays?

If yes, then welcome to the Pattachitra Painting class!

Patachitra or Pattachitra is a general term for traditional, cloth-based scroll painting, based in the eastern Indian state of Odisha. The name Pattachitra has evolved from the Sanskrit words patta, meaning canvas, and Chitra meaning picture.
