An ancient form of folk art endemic to Orissa and West Bengal, Pattachitra places storytelling squarely in the centre of its art. In fact many believe Pattachitra to be the world’s first illustrated storybook, long before Amar Chitra Kathas were to be found.

At our Pattachitra Folk Art Workshop you will learn the basics of this vibrant, historical art that’s replete with all your favourite mythological childhood stories. The artist will give insights on all the minute details that are the essence of this artform.
