Phonological awareness is especially important at the earliest stages of reading development. Through this workshop on phonological awareness, the learners will be able to focus on and manipulate individual sounds (phonemes) in spoken words. It will encompass the first level of letter-sound association that will set the base for decoding and building words and sentences. Explicit teaching of phonological awareness in the early years can help learners become affluent readers. The session will include stories, interactive games, and strategies to keep it fun and engaging.
