His ascendancy in theatre began as a member of the Act One Theatre Group, co-founded by N. K. Sharma in 1990. Collaborating with stalwarts like Manoj Bajpai and Gajraj Rao, Mishra directed and acted in numerous plays, including the acclaimed "Gagan Damama Bajiyo," a tribute to Bhagat Singh. While his journey began in theatre, it was his magnetic pull towards music that carved a unique niche for him. As a singer and lyricist, his soul-stirring compositions like "Arre Ruk Ja Re Bandeh", "Aarambh Hai Prachand", "Ik Bagal" and "Husna", stand as monuments to his musical career.
