About the Event

"For all of you who are going to be present, we're happy to let you know that you'd be the first to hear a major part of the material we're going to perform. Looking forward to sharing an evening of music, poetry, and good vibes."

The essence of Pull’s music lies in minimalism. It’s heartfelt poetry. Incoherent words are strung together by a blanket emotion along with guitars and keys arranged with an aim to create sublime time and space where it all happens. The bass and drums employ a sentimental dichotomy of a beating urban heart that tends to wander and look beyond the concrete realm.

"Everyone’s got their own vibe, their own sound and taste in music. And all that comes together to form the diverse sound of Pull.

-Ritaprabha Ray (Ratul)

Ratul a.k.a Ritabrabha who has played with legendary bands such as Cactus among many others is now playing original music with Pull. On other days, you might catch him live with Bollywood’s Ash King or working behind the scenes with acclaimed music directors as producer. He also has his solo project “DreamCatcher” A man blessed with an ear for sonic expression, Ratul carries his AXT-RATS in a Johnnie Walker trolley, and all his guitars in a red i10.

-Debanjan Dhar

(Vocals and Extreme Procrastinator)

Debanjan has been in and around the Kolkata music circuit since the new generation of musicians were toddlers (He’s not that old, but yeah he’s pretty old). He’s probably best known for his work with the band Suspended Fifth back in the day and several gigs with Bengali rock bands in Kolkata. Jingles are currently his thing, so you’ve probably heard him somewhere or the other, even if you weren’t expecting it.

-Ritwik Ghosh

(Keyboards and Celestial Tone Maker)

Other than being a killer Film Maker/Director/ Editor/ Producer, he has a night job…. He’s the batm…haha, almost got you there. He’s the keyboard player and also is the colourist for almost every song we make and helps create soundscapes that resonate with our music.

-Saranik Datta

(Drums and Rhythm Generator)

Saranik plays a wide array of musical forms that he has grown up listening to, from Rock ‘n’ roll to Funk, Reggae, RnB, Drum n Bass, etc. Although the drum kit is his primary instrument, he has always been explorative about playing rhythms on anything from hand percussion to buckets and utensils. He has been an integral part of a blues act with the late Rahul Chatterjee aka Rahula Chatz on guitar doing some authentic old school blues, Rock n Roll, Reggae and Funk.

-Bijit Bhattacharya

(Bass and Music Authenticator)

Bijit is probably the coolest guy you will meet, cause he’s a bass player, bass players are usually cool (Written by a bass player). This guy has the highest creds in the band. Actively involved in studio sessions as well as the live music scene, he has been a permanent member of bands like 'Saphire', 'Catch 22', 'Zoo', nationally acclaimed folk fusion acts- 'Friends of Fusion' and 'Charon' and much more.

-Sujan Sengupta

(Guitar & Trip Generator- Catchy riff maker)

Sujan is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, he has an affinity towards anything heavy/progressive, he has a cool stage name too – ‘Metanoia’. Apart from goofing around and making random lyrics for our songs, he has been the star behind the crazy good sounding songs we have produced till now."
