Radhabhab is Parvathy Baul’s solo musical, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Combining brilliant songs, folk paintings, dance and theatre to tell the story of Radha's eternal love for Krishna – a story that transcends all barriers of caste and religion. 

This is a charity event, to help BASICS Trust's work for supporting the health and educational needs of underprivileged children and youth in Kolkata and in Bengal’s villages.

About the artist:

Parvathy Baul is an internationally acclaimed Baul singer, a creative genius whose music is globally known and loved. A versatile performer with training in theatre, art, dance and music, she plays the ektara and duggi as accompanying instruments, with the tinkling chilambu anklets. She performs mystic songs from the Baul and Sufi repertoires and her own compositions. She infuses elements of theatre and storytelling in her performances by acting out the lyrics. Inspired by the pattachitra of Bengal, she adds visual elements to her performance through her painted backdrops, creating a stunning audio-visual experience. Over the years, she has performed at various concerts in India and other countries, including Ruhaniyat – The All India Sufi & Mystic Music Festival and One Billion Rising, and her songs are an important part of the Kabir Project.
