Come, join us and create magic with everyday objects and stuff from around your home. In this workshop we shall explore ways to create table top models and scenarios that will bring alive our stories and their characters. You can bring your favourite story or write a new one. Over 4 days we shall use techniques from storytelling, puppetry, shadow theatre, material theatre, model making, and more.

About the Facilitator:

Shaili Sathyu works in education and the arts, with a specific focus on children. She is the Artistic Director of Gillo Repertory, an organization she founded in 2009-10, to make Theatre for Young Audiences. Her focus has been on developing and showcasing original Indian content; creating age-specific performances; training performers and making theatre more accessible for children.

Plays that are written and directed by Shaili include ‘Barsoraam Dhadaake Se’, 'Kyun-Kyun Ladki', 'Mister Jeejeebhoy and the Birds', She-He-Shey, and 'Gulabo Aur Parizaad', among others. She has also conducted several arts-based workshops for children and teachers.
