One of the most unique and exciting bass music outfits to emerge in recent times, Koven is the production alias of producer Max Rowat and Katie Boyle. Having released tracks on an array of electronic music’s biggest labels from Viper Recordings to Ministry Of Sound they are part of a new wave of bass music producers who blur the lines between traditional drum n bass forms and new movements in electronic music’s aural evolution. First conceived in December 2011, the Koven project was sparked into life with the ‘Wake You Up EP’ which saw instant support from tastemakers like UKF and Inspector Dubplate, Radio 1, XFM,and Ministry of Sound.

Within months the duo were collaborating with bass monsters Modestep on their track ‘Take It All’ and then went on to support Modestep across the UK. By 2014 their talents were in hot demand and remix requests flooded in from juggernauts such as Borgore, Hadouken and ThePrototypes, resulting in the group racking up millions of internet plays in a few short months. That Summer produced Koven’s biggest live show to date, - main stage at Exit Festival in front of 40,000 fans alongside Rudimental and Skrillex. 2016 has already been a massive year for Koven, and has seen them touch down at some of the biggest festivals in the UK and Europe including Reading, Leeds and Holland’s huge drum n bass weekender Liquicity and are confirmed to play Liquicity’s London arena show next month. In mid September they announced the release of an EP via massive bass music imprint Monstercat. The first single from the record. ’Silence’ clocked up over half a million Yotube plays in a fortnight. The record’s due out in November 25th and Koven are touring the UK and Europe to support its release.
