Celebrating the Enduring Relevance of Subramania Bharati

Many years after a poet’s death, the words and images he conjured up continue to inspire generations of artists. Tamil cinema, dance, painting, music, theatre and literature resonate with Bharati’s vision. The public and private lives of men, women and children are shaped indelibly by his ideals. Subramania Bharathi (1882-1921) lives on.
Shot in present-day Tamilnadu and Pondicherry, at the turn of the present century (2000-2001) Saga of a Poet celebrates the enduring relevance and presence of perhaps the greatest poet the Tamil language has seen.
1. Entry to the event is free.
2. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the programme.
3. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
4. Entry to the hall will be closed once capacity is reached.
5. If we are over-capacity for an event, entry will be based on first come, first served basis to those who have registered. Registration in such instances is not a guarantee of entry.
