About the Event
The Seriously Fun Game Day is back! The Beehive is teaming up with ReRoll: Bangalore's Board Games Collective to show you a whole new world of wonderful board games beyond Monopoly and Scrabble. You don’t need to have played ANY board games before - we love introducing people to the hobby! We’ll help you pick a game, set up, and explain the rules. Whether you come in solo or with a group, we’ve got your back!
Even better, this edition of The Seriously Fun Game Day is all about that sweet, sweet pop culture goodness - we've got games that bring alive your favourite books, movies, characters and stories. Play as Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville to bring down He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and his baddies. Assist Sherlock Holmes in solving the mysteries plaguing England. Channel your inner staff-wielding Chicago wizard as you play against the villains from the Dresden Files series. Go all-out in a House war as you immerse yourselves in the Game of Thrones universe. All this and much, much more awaits you at our seriously, seriously fun game day.
We’re a group of friends who have, in their spare time, set out to build a vibrant board game community in Bangalore. We run meetups, events, and manage discussion spaces. There is a massive world of creative, challenging, and incredibly fun modern board games out there that folks in India don’t ever hear about. We're hoping to change that!
The Beehive at The Humming Tree, is a participatory gathering where every month we bring you something new.
Our aim is to provide a platform for people to share ideas, experiences and learn skills. In the past we’ve curated workshops, movie screenings, discussions, talks, quizzes, poetry circles, letter circles, book launches and more.
Just like a beehive where the many interlinked parts make for a beautiful whole, we also work towards building a community that bring different understandings, perceptions and realisations together in these gatherings.
